Welcome to Aurora International School

Aurora International School is a leading international co- educational school in Dhaka. It offers half-day and full-day programs for toddlers and pre-school students (2-3 years old) and a complete academic program for Pre-K to Class VIII students (4 to 13 years olds). The school will eventually offer academic programs for high school students as well.

As an IB World School, Aurora is authorized to offer the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) and is an IB Candidate School for the Middle Years Programme (MYP)**, fostering confident, compassionate, and globally minded learners. IB World Schools share a common philosophy- a commitment to high quality, challenging, international education- that we believe is important for our students.

21st Century Learning

We shape our students to become tomorrow’s leaders, change makers and innovators.

Intellectual Development

We believe every child can be inspired towards learning.

Healthy Habits for Life

We develop the values and principles that build good character, and help students to contribute meaningfully towards society.

Academics at Aurora

Aurora is an ecosystem that supports all students and inspires them to learn. Not only do we teach a rigorous curriculum – the IB PYP and MYP* – but we also provide a comprehensive academic program that focuses on our core values: 21st century education, intellectual development and healthy habits for life. We work closely with families to embrace and put into practice these values.

The curriculum of the school is based on student-centric instructional approaches, focused on inquiry-driven learning and a global perspective. Students are encouraged to reflect and assume responsibility for their learning journey. Our instructional techniques stimulate critical and imaginative thinking, and are customized to accommodate diverse learning needs and styles. They nurture communication skills and instill the mindsets required for long-term success. We hold high expectations for all of our students: we aim to prepare students to lead balanced and purposeful lives, with a courageous and generous spirit.

*Aurora is a Candidate School for the MYP. Only schools authorized by the IB Organization can offer any of its four academic programmes: the Primary Years Programme (PYP), the Middle Years Programme (MYP), the Diploma Programme (DP), or the Career related Programme (CP). Candidate status gives no guarantee that authorization will be granted.

The Aurora Difference

We have designed Aurora—both its physical infrastructure and facilities, as well as its academic program and curriculum—with a great deal of care, research and passion. We hope our students and their families find Aurora to be a joyful, collaborative and progressive second-home. And the Aurora team will be forever-learning so that our ecosystem can continually develop, adapt and advance.

Aurora International School

Individual Attention

Teachers are able to give students the attention and support they need to realize their full potential because of the small class sizes and low student-teacher ratio.

Aurora International School

Always Learning

We are always researching and learning so that we can implement international best practices in teaching and improve the quality of the education that we provide each day.
